ਯੂਨਾਨੀ ਫ਼ਲਸਫ਼ੇ ਤੇ “ਸੋਫੀਆ' Sophia ਸ਼ਬਦ ਨਾਲ ਜੋੜਦੇ ਹਨ । ਇਸ ਵਿਸ਼ੇ ਤੇ ਪਿਨਕਾਟ ਦਾ ਕਥਨ ਬਹੁਤ ਗੰਭੀਰ ਹੈ “I (Vedanta ' found in tlhe ancient area of Persia, and it penetrated into Greece in times beyond historical record. P. 71 (ii) “It happened, however, that the Mohammodans who conquered the Punjab were of Persian origin; and they brought with them the form of Mohammodanies which was largely mixed with the nations of the Sufis, which were practically the same as those of the Vedantists; or the ancient Indian philsophers. p. 72 Fredtric Pincott : The Sikh Religion, Calcutta 1958 ਪੰਜਾਬ ਪ੍ਰਦੇਸ਼, ਦਿੱਲੀ ਅਤੇ ਕਾਬਲ ਦੇ ਦੋ ਪੁੜਾਂ ਵਿਚਕਾਰ ਦੇਰ ਤਕ ਦਲੀ, ਪੁਸੀਂਦਾ ਰਿਹਾ । ਇਸਲਾਮ ਦਾ ਜਹਾਦ ਕਿਰਪਾਨ ਦੀ ਧਾਰ ਤੇ ਜ਼ਬਾਨ ਦੀ ਨੋਕ ਨਾਲ ਵਿਕਾਸਵਾਨ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ । ਵਿਜੇ-ਨਗਰਮ ਤੇ ਰਾਜਸਥਾਨ ਦੇ ਦ੍ਰਿੜ੍ਹ ਲੋਕ-ਨੇਤਾ ਇ ਤੁਫਾਨ ਅਗੇ ਡੱਟੇ ਰਹੇ । ਰਾਣਾ ਸਾਂਗਾ, ਰਾਣਾ ਮੇਦਨੀ ਰਾਏ ਤੇ ਹੇਮੂ ਬਕਾਲ ਮਗਰ ਕਾਲ ਵਿਚ ਵੀ ਹੰਭਲਾ ਮਾਰਦੇ ਰਹੇ । ਇਸ ਕਾਲ ਵਿਚ ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਸੂਫ਼ੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਮਨੁਖਤਾਵਾਦੀ ਵਿਚਾਰਾਂ ਦਾ ਪਰਚਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ । ਕੁਤਬਨ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਗਾਵਦਾ (੧੫੦੧ ਈ:) ਮੰਝਨ ਨੇ ਮਧੁਮਾਲਤੀ (੧੫੦੦-੧੫੪੦) ਤੇ ਜਾਯਸੀ ਨੇ ਪਦਮਾਵ (੧੫੨੦-੧੫੪੦) ਲਿਖ ਕੇ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਮਾਰਗੀ ਸਾਂਝੀ ਸੰਸਕ੍ਰਿਤੀ ਦੀ ਨੁਹਾਰ ਉਘਾੜੀ ਹੈ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਪਰੰਪਰਾ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਰਜੀਤ ਰਖਿਆ ਪਰ ਸਿੰਕਦਰ ਲੋਧੀ ਹਿੰਦੂ ਮੰਦਰ ਦੁਆਉਣ ਜਜ਼ੀਆਂ ਲਾਉਣਾ ਤੇ ਸੰਤਾਂ ਸਾਧੂਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਿਚ ਕਰਨ ਵਿਚ ਗ਼ਲਤਾਨ ਸੀ । ਜਨਤਾ ਦੇ ਮਾਸੂਮ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਦੀ ਪੁਕਾਰ ਨੇ ਮਾਨੋ ਆਪਣੀ ਰਖਿਆ ਲਈ ਨਾਨ ਵਰਗੇ ਨਿਰਭੈ ਤੇ ਨਿਰਵੈਰ ਮਹਾਂਪੁਰਖ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣਾ ਆਗ ਬਣਾ ਲਿਆ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਆਪਣ ਬਾਬਰ ਵਾਣੀ ਵਿਚ ਜੋ ਖੂਨ ਦੇ ਸੋਹਲੇ ਗਾਏ ਉਹ ਜਨਤਾਵਾਦੀ ਇਤਿਹਾਸ ਦੀ ਨੀਂਹ ਬਣ ਗਏ । ਰਾਮਕਲੀ ਰਾਗ ਦੀ ਪਹਿਲੀ ਅਸ਼ਟਪਦੀ ਵਿਚ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਯੁਗ ਦੇ ਇਸਲਾਮ ਦੇ ਸੰਕਟ ਤੇ ਹਿੰਦੂ-ਪਤਨ ਦਾ ਦੁਖ ਭਰਿਆ ਚਿਤਰ ਖਿਚਿਆ ਹੈ 44
